 Yes we can - sequencing on the road!
Driving home from the field course at the Lower Rhine last week, our ONT MinIon metabarcoding run continued sequencing. Except of slight increases in temperature after 2h on the road with a not working air con in the car, the sequencing ran smoothly and we ended up with a nice data set. 
Now we feel prepared to move the on-site sequencing to more extreme environments: Atacama Desert Field School to happen in September 2023!
